WHAT’S IN A NUMBER ? To many people numbers mean a whole lot more than simple bean counting. I was sent a link to a numerology site & just for the hell of it, I processed Nyati’s number plate… As I read it… 1+1+3+9+9. = 23 Therefore Nyati’s life path number is 5 because 2+3 = 5 So now look what the characteristics of life path 5 are… *“Life Path Number 5.* * The key to your personality is freedom. As a 5, you love travel, adventure, variety and meeting new people. You possess the curiosity of a cat and long to experience all of life.* * You love to be involved in several things at the same time as long as you are not tied down to any one area. You like change, new things and new horizons. You make friends easily; your personality is upbeat and often inspiring attracting people from all walks of life.”* Wow! If that’s what’s in store for Nyati, I’ll become a believer! J
Make up
It’s time for a little cosmetic touch up. Nyati’s been standing out in all weathers for a long time now & a little TLC’s long overdue. Yes, it’s a bit like the firth of forth bridge thing, but Mmmm it’s a pleasure to see the machine back in showroom condition.
On board.
A view from the other end.
Almost
Nyati’s getting down to the nitty gritty now. The list still seems endless, but the items on the list are mostly of a familiar “house keeping” nature… Not all, but most.
Finials
Here’s Frans putting the finishing touches to the various shelves.
Rubbish bin.
A regular visitor to the overlander building facility in Kloof recently asked what we had managed to achieve on that particular day. His face crinkled up in incomprehension when I told him we were thrilled to have built the rubbish bin cupboard. The first picture shows the bin in its “demure” mode… The second, in full WORKING mode. 😛
More drawers
Every time I think we’re getting to the end of the carpentry, I find new places to fit drawers. Some of them, at the foot of the bed for example, are huge !!!
Power
So how do you keep a behemoth like this freewheeling across Africa ? You fit a mighty 5300cc turbo charged diesel engine to drive it & a beautiful 250w solar panel to take care of the niceties of life.
Canopy
Here’s the canopy. Designed to make Nyati’s rooftop viewing platform a shady & dry area from where the giraffe can be looked at eye to eye. 😉
Grocery cupboard
From the workbench, into place… It’s a little like magic, but it’s not. As with everything in life, this took hard work & determination to achieve. 😀
Drivers seat.
Nyati will be fitted with the latest innovations in drivers seat comfort and technology. 😉
Cupboard doors.
I really needed a couple of grocery cupboard doors, &, “with a bit of help from my friends”, they magically appeared. 😉 :-D.
Machining
Here comes another cupboard.
Drawers
I wonder what exotic goodies will end up in these new drawers. 😮
Protea
So look at this… Our national flower… It’s just burst into bloom… Wonderful… Soon Nyati will too.
